Valgerður Ýr Walderhaug (1991) is an artist from Reykjavík, Iceland, currently based in Oslo, Norway.

Valgerður's artistic practice is centered around the ongoing exploration of the contemporary possibilities of painting as an expansive medium. She uses found objects that she mixes with her painting practice to create paintings that range from two-dimensional to immersive experiences. Her ideas are developed through the exploration of materials, how unexpected colours and relationships between objects can be created, and the emotions they evoke.
